Summary
The mechanically simplest of microscopes but with the same high-quality lenses as the more expensive microscopes.
For the same price you could get the absolute-best jewellers loupe (by Zeiss) - which is quite OK for examining a hallmark or a diamond - but a loupe is of limited use for large items (and a 10X loupe will only have a working distance of 25mm).
This microscope is of the same quality but has a nice long working distance. So not only is it easy to rotate the object but there is room to carry out small repairs.
