POSTAGE COSTS AND DELIVERY TIMES

Order online for free gifts, special offers, bulk discounts and free postage on orders over £100.00 - these are not available with telephone or email orders.  

UK DELIVERY (excluding orders containing acids)

Standard Delivery. Our aim is for you to receive it in 3 to 5 working days from when you place the order. Orders over £100.00 are sent postage-free, otherwise £7.50.

• To a business address: most likely courier (UPS), dispatch in 1 or 2 working days then delivery in 1 or 2 working days. However, UPS don't always deliver on time, so we say, "3 to 5 working days"
• To a domestic address: mostly likely Royal Mail. Depending on how quickly we are able to send it (and the value) we use "24 hour", "48 hour" or Special Delivery - whichever is most likely to get the parcel to you in 3 to 5 working days. 

Allow an extra day or two to offshore addresses including the Highlands and Islands.

Express Delivery. Our aim is for you to receive it in 1 to 3 working days from the day you place the order. Postage £11.40.

• To a business address: most likely UPS. Theoretically, delivery is the next working day. However, we don't always dispatch it the same day and UPS don't always deliver on time, so we day, "1 to 3 working days". We don't have a UPS collection on a Friday, orders received after 3pm on a Thursday are dispatched on the Monday.
• To a domestic address: most likely Royal Mail. Depending on the value, we use Special Delivery (delivery by 1pm the next working day) or 24 Hour Tracked (delivery usually in 24 hours). However, we don't always dispatch it the same day and Royal Mail don't always deliver on time, so we say, "1 to 3 working days". We don't have a Royal Mail collection on a Friday, so orders received after 3pm on a Thursday are dispatched on the Monday.

UK DELIVERY TIME (for orders containing acids) 

POSTAGE: £12.50. We use a DANGEROUS CHEMICAL SERVICE with UPS, acids cannot be sent by Royal Mail. Delivery is usually 2 or 3 working days, but this service can sometimes take one working day, sometimes four working days. 

We do not have a UPS collection on a Friday, orders received after 3pm on a Thursday will be sent on the Monday. 

There is no Dangerous Chemical Service to some of postcode areas AB, CA, HS, IV, KA, LA, PA, PO, PH, TR.  There is no Dangerous Chemical Service to any of BT, IM, KW or ZE.   

WORKING DAYS

"Working days" means Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.
e.g. the day before Good Friday to the day after Easter Monday is one working day. 
e.g. 23 December 2026 to 4 January 2027 is one working day.

E.U. Orders

Generally, please allow 2 days for the parcel to arrive in your country, then 5 to 10 days for it clear customs. 

We do not charge VAT (sales tax), you must pay this (+ customs duty + a service-charge from the courier) when the goods arrive. For a business accustomed to importing from the UK this will not be a problem. If you are not buying for a business, we will still send the order, but you could find the customs procedures time-consuming, frustrating and expensive.

Very often the order is returned to us (which takes a few weeks). We will then refund the amount paid for the goods but not the postage or any customs charges you have already paid.

There is a special system for the sender to pre-pay the VAT but most UK companies do not operate this scheme, they simply refuse to export to the EU. 

This is due to Brexit.   

There is no problem sending goods to addresses outside the E.U. and USA. 

USA Orders, SUMMER 2026

We are currently unable supply the USA. Tariffs now apply to all orders, of any value, and these must be paid by us before the order arrives in the USA. Since Trump’s policies change from month to month, the software to calculate the charges is very expensive and is not worthwhile for most companies. This is a consequence of MAGA.
