Generally, I would point out that just working on small items of jewellery does not mean  you need to use tiny tools, it's better to use full-size jewellers' (not DIY!) tools.

HOWEVER, I did meet an elderly lady who, after 50 years as a jeweller, was looking to replace her miniature tools, this was what she wanted, this was what she had always used, and we were the only company selling them.

Other reasons for choosing these miniature tools:

• you buy at fairs and auctions, you have a 'buying bag', you need to keep weight and bulk to a minimum
• you like to take 'essential' tools on holiday 'just in case'
• you have tiny hands, normal-sized tools are just too large.
