Summary

The 'standard' magnification for a loupe (for jewellery & gemstones, stamps & coins) is 10X.
This one is 15X
The diameter of the lens is 12mm

Detail

My personal opinion is that if you want a loupe that is more than 10X magnification, go for a 15X rather than a 20X, and go for the absolute-best quality / smallest lens (this one is 5-element, better than than the usual high-quality 'triplet' lens).

It is, however, a small lens. You will always (with any loupe) have to compromise between lens size and optical quality.

Technical

Magnification / lens size in mm: 15X12

Lens material: glass

Lens type: 5-element (i.e. once loupe with 5 lenses on top of each, for best possible quality)

Finish: chrome

Presentation / extras: soft leather pouch and plain cardboard box
