Suitable for weighing very lightweight items such as gemstones (weighs down to 0.01g) AND gold (also weighs down to 0.1g) AND silver up to 250g = about 8oz). Weighs up to 200g in 0.01g increments, or up to 250g in 0.1g increments. Altogether the most 'flexible' balance and the best-designed.

Features

Backlit display with lots of information, choice of two weighing ranges, pull-off lid doubles as an extra weighing pan, tare, choice of 6 weighing units, auto-power-off (customable), zip-pouch with calibration weight, battery (batteries supplied) or USB  cable (supplied) for if you don't want to use batteries. 

Switchable to grams (g), ounces (oz), Troy ounces (ozt), pennyweight (dwt), carat (ct), grains (gn).

Pull-off lid doubles as an extra platform, e.g. for pouring in small items that would roll off the main weighing platform.

- auto-power-off can be set to turn off (if not used) in 3mns, 2mns, 1mn, or it can be disabled

- can also be powered with a USB cable (supplied), which will then work with any computer, mobile device or mains power with an adaptor.

Guarantee

1 year. This covers manufacturing faults only, it excludes normal wear and tear, bowls, trays, finishes, clasps, hinges, feet, AC adaptors and  batteries; it also excludes being overloaded / dropped (e.g. error messages EEE, 0-Ld, or OUEr). The guarantee is invalid if the scale shows signs of foreign material (e.g. residues of herbs, chemicals, corrosion, spilt tea).  

Inaccurate readings can be fixed by calibrating the scale, this is something that is very easy for you to do yourself with the 100g weight supplied. Giving inaccurate readings does not mean it is broken - all electronic measuring devices need calibrating every now and again, see calibrating weighing machines.
