Summary

10X20

10X magnification, 20mm diameter lens.

This was one of many samples that manufacturers send me, they are usually sweet little toys suitable for children (e.g. 'bug magnifiers'). I was in for a surprise!

THIS one is quite spectacular in quality! It is from the same company that make the high quality jeweller's Loupes, and they've used a 'triplet' lens to get the best quality. This is by far the best general inspection magnifier (on a stand) for photographs, prints, fabrics, stamps, coins, pcbs (anything flat).

Technical

Magnification / lens size in mm: 10X20

Maximum working distance: 10mm (the total height is 45mm but the bottom lens has a working distance of 10mm).

Origin / brand: we import these from China

Construction / presentation: glass lenses in a silver plastic tube, encased in clear acrylic. Supplied in a plain white cardboard box.
