The 'standard' magnification for a loupe (for jewellery & gemstones, stamps & coins) is 10X.
This one is 5X.
The diameter of the lens is a very large (for a loupe) 27mm.
This is suitable for 'just a bit of help' with reading anything, from labels on jars to makers' marks on furniture. It certainly not good enough for reading books, but it is on a keyring, so carry it everywhere as a "just in case" magnifier; keep one of these in addition to your good quality jeweller's loupe; buy a few for Christmas as stocking-fillers.
I can summarise the quality like this: £2.00.
