Applications
The flexible lighting system (especially with the dimmer switch) makes this a good choice for gemstones if you don't want to splash out on a 'dedicated' gemmological microscope.
A good range of magnifications, start each session at 10X (especially for stamps, coins, PCBs, fabrics). 10X is also good for small-item jewellery repairs (in the photo, Audra is repairing a small brooch). ; you might have to turn it up to 20X or even 30X for the smaller inclusions in gemstones; as far as antiques and arts (and jewellery and gemstones) is concerned, it's unlikely you will need 40X - but you have the option.
