The weights of these calibration samples vary slightly but are approximately 0.4g.
Electronic testers need to have their electronics matched (calibrated) against known samples.
The price of gold is volatile, we change the price of these samples each week, depending on how much the gold price has gone up or down.
For the Auracle ANALYZER and PRO testers you need 18ct
For the Gemoro AGT3 you need 14ct and 18ct
For the Gemoro model AGT1 you need 14ct
For the KEE you need 18ct, but also 22ct if you want to test high-carat accurately.
You don't have to buy our samples! But if you use your own, check that each has a full British hallmark to guarantee the carat. And they must be yellow gold (not white).

Hi, When was the price on these last updated? Gold has dropped 10% this week, does the current price of these items reflect this change? Looking to buy one of each of 14ct, 18ct, 22ct. I assume they are exactly those carats? Thank you. PS. I bought a KEE tester through you which has been great. Also, do you do a 9ct one?
We do update the price, it goes go up or down with the price of gold, but we only do this once a week. So if you think it's too expensive, wait a week and see if the price has gone up or down.
