Large lens size, exceptional quality, image is sharp and crisp to the very edge, matt black, folds into metal case, good for gemstones / diamonds, forged coins etc. For a relatively large lens this is my personal favourite (though for pure quality I prefer the smaller 10X12 4-element (see Jewellers Loupes, under £20.00).Physical size (mm): 27X20 X20 (deep)Read all about magnification, size and working distance, click herePeople who bought this item also bought:

Largest of the 10X loupes. Personally, I don't see that there's anything to be gained by increasing the lens size to 21mm, it makes the loupe heavy to carry in the pocket and (unlike smaller lenses) the image quality drops off at the edges. I must concede, however, that some people LIKE to have the largest lens possible, and if that is what they are comfortable with, then a 10X21 is a good choice.Physical size (mm): 32X23 X23 (deep)Read all about magnification, size and working distance, click herePeople who bought this item also bought:

If you want the clearest image AND for the loupe to end up small and lightweight...then Zeiss really are the best you can buy. Whether it is worth spending more than twice as much as the next best magnifier is a decision I can't help you with!Read all about magnification, size and working distance, click herePeople who bought this item also bought:

Double loupe: 6X20 and 3X20, combined they make 9X20. If you want a combination of the largest lens and clearest image AND light weight...then this Zeiss really is the best you can buy. It is the only example of a really large lens that does not show any distortion at all around the edge.Whenever I get a sample of a REALLY good quality loupe, I immediately compare it with one of these in the hope that I have found something better - but it has never happened, this Zeiss is still the best! The only downside is the price, and I must admit I don't use one of these myself because I won't risk loosing or damaging an £85.00 loupe. But if you are careful and money is no object and you want the best - then this is the one to go for.Read all about magnification, size and working distance, click here

The 15X gives an impressively clear image in the centre, though there is some noticeable distortion around the edges - but really not bad for a 15X of this size. This is a good choice if you must have something stronger than 10X with the largest lens though, personally, I prefer a good 10X.Physical size (mm): 32X23 X23 (deep)Read all about magnification, size and working distance, Click here People who bought this item also bought:

With a steady hand and careful focusing this 20X is quite useable, giving a reasonably clear image in the centre of the lens. This is the 'biggest' loupe, by which I mean the most powerful magnification for the large lens size . My own opinion is that it's just a bit TOO powerful, quite fiddly to keep in focus - that's what happens with very powerful lenses, it's just the way optics works. Incidentally, I have seen identical-looking loupes for sale at some of the London fairs at a fraction of this price and the quality seems to be OK. How so? Answer: although they are clearly labelled "20X" the 'copies' are actually about 9X magnificationPhysical size (mm): 32X23 X23 (deep)Read all about magnification, size and working distance, click here

Customers would often telephone to ask if I had a 30X and I would say that they were very difficult to find and they would say they've seen one. Then I would say that 30X was too strong and they would say that's the strength they want, and also it must have a large lens. And I would say a large-lens 30X would be difficult to focus and would be expensive and they would say that's OK. And I would say they will have to hold it almost-touching the object and they would say OK. So in the end I felt obliged to find one, and here it is, the most powerful loupe on the market with the best quality lens I could find. The best quality 10X with the best quality 20X.Incidentally, I have seen an identical-looking loupe for sale at some of the London fairs at a fraction of this price. How so? Answer: one lens is clearly labelled "20X" but is actually about 9X magnification (and the image is so wavy it's useless), the other lens is marked 10X but is actually about 6X. Clicking on picture shows magnifier in use. (...though you can, of course, leave the lens high up and lift the item up to the lens). Fully adjustable, two stems tilt / swivel / lock, use it up high (maximum 11 inches) for fixed objects such as vases or lower it for flat objects that can rest on the workbench. Lens is 30mm diameter, 10X magnification. The largest, strongest magnifier on a stand, high quality triplet lens, an alternative to a low-power microscope for working on miniatures, watches etc. Also good as an inspection magnifier for electronics, lower the magnifier close to the table, pass the items underneath with both hands.Read all about magnification, size and working distance, click here
