Monster-heavy-duty machine for sizing rings, 16 inches tall, weighs 12Kg.
If you have room, this is certainly the best model. Screw it to your workbench.
Pull the big handle, then the two tall stems (one for smaller rings, one for larger rings) expand and stretch the ring to make it larger; or push the handle and the base will compress a ring to make it smaller. It's easiest to use when firmly screwed to a workbench.
- it is generally not regarded as 'wise' to stretch or compress a ring by no more than 1 to 1.5 sizes, otherwise you could crack the metal.
- take exceptional care with rings set with stones, the more you 'expand' the metal the greater the chance of stones falling out.
- please note the size and weight before buying, this is a serious workshop tool, you will not be able to carry this around with you (I know it says "16 inches tall, 12Kg" at the top of this page, but we have had customers complain that it's larger than they expected).
