Summary

Model is Waltex 7562

If you really can't decide which strength of loupe to choose, here is one with a choice.

Turn the black centre, and two lenses appear. But that's not all. Turn the ribbed wheel on the side and the lenses change.

This gives you a choice of eight different magnifications: 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X, 9X, 10X, 11X and 12X.

Each lens is 25mm diameter.

Applications

Generally, loupes are used by jewellers and antiques traders for looking at very small marks; by horologists and engineers for inspecting very small parts; by stamp and coin dealers; as a basic field instrument for biologists and geologists.

Specifically, this gives the maximum flexibility, from 5X to 12X magnification, a good choice if you want it for many applications, e.g. for looking at tiny jewellery marks on a Tuesday, large furniture marks on furniture on a Thursday, and small print on forms on a Saturday. Also good if you really have no idea which magnification you require.
