Sensible magnification, and it's very comfortable and lightweight to wear for long periods, and the lens quality is certainly better than average.
It IS better in optical quality than the others in this section (I'd describe the improvement as 'noticeable' but not 'dramatic') - definitely worth buying if you want the best quality without stretching to the 'surgeons' type (£150.00 to £290.00). The one thing I can't advise you on, is whether it's worth paying five times the price of the next-best (in this section) for a possible two-fold improvement in quality - see binocmag-01H or binocmag-1003

With most magnifiers* magnification and working distance are related. Download our Excel sheet, enter a magnification to see the resulting working distance, enter a working distance to see the resulting magnification.
