As you see from this page, there are variations in the length of the lenses. There are also slight variations in styles of the adjusters (knobs and wheels) that you must turn to set up (collimate) the magnifier the first time you use it. So what you receive might not exactly match the pictures on the product pages.

 

The basic model is called binocmag-S2 (illustrated below) and comes in the following styles:

- with a clip, to clip to your spectacles

- built onto spectacles (i.e. if you don't wear spectacles)

ALSO,
the weaker strengths are shorter (short telescopes) and the more powerful are longer (relatively long telescopes)

The best model (illustrated below) is called binocmag-S4, it is the top optical quality and far more comfortable to wear. As with the basic model, the weaker strengths are shorter (short telescopes) and the more powerful are longer (relatively long telescopes). They are all built onto lightweight adjustable headbands and work just as well with or without spectacles.

 

The two photographs below show the weaker sizes, shorter lenses (click on image to see it enlarged).

The two photographs below show the more powerful sizes (4X and 6X), longer lenses (click on image to see it enlarged), note the extra band over the top of the head to hold the extra weight firmly. The two weaker sizes (2.5X and 3.5X) are very lightweight and don't require the extra band over the top.

In all of these photographs, the subject is working at a comfortable distance. Unlike simple lenses you can achieve a long working distance and a high magnification with these.
