POSTAGE RATES AND DELIVERY TIMES.

If you buy online the computer calculates the postage based on the weight. There is a minimum charge of £2.00. You must first choose all the items so that the computer can calculate the weight, then you must choose the service you want so that the computer can calculate the cost.  As a rough guide, an item to be sent to an address in England or Wales will cost £2.00 to £4.00 if it is lightweight, or £4.00 to £6.00 if it is heavy.

POSTAGE OPTIONS

When you buy online and click 'Checkout Now' you must select the Shipping Destination (select United Kingdom)  and  from the drop-down box to the right  you must select one of the following: 

England, Wales, Southern and Central Scotland
Scottish Highlands and Islands
Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly
Channel Islands. 

DELIVERY USUALLY 4 to 7 DAYS
(usually costs £3.50, a heavy order might cost £4.00 to £6.00)  
This service is for Royal Mail Packet (plus Recorded if the value is over £30.00), or Courier if heavy. High-value orders (over £100.00) are given priority and will probably (not guaranteed!) arrive within 4 days; low-value orders (under £30.00) are more likely to take 6 or 7 days. All items fully insured in transit.

DELIVERY USUALLY NEXT WORKING DAY
(costs £10.00)
We can usually send the item the same working day and delivery is the next working day. To see this week's deadlines click here. If an item is out of stock we will email you, so please include an email address that you use during the working day. All items fully insured in transit.

INSURED TO £20.00, DELIVERY 3 WEEKS
(usually costs £2.00, a heavy order might cost £3.00 or £4.00)  
- summary: this is our special cheap and non-urgent service, we will use ordinary 2nd Class Post, It probably won't take as long as 3 weeks...but it might.
- detail: for most orders the postage & packaging charge is £2.00. This is almost certainly less than the cost of the postage let alone packaging and labour. It is for this reason that that I wait until we are not busy, most probably I will wait for a day when one of the schoolchildren are working here after school or in the holidays, this being cheaper than paying one of my 'grown-up' packers. Some customers enter into email correspondence, saying that we should post it sooner; if you want faster delivery please pay for a faster service.

Maximum insurance if it gets lost in transit is £20.00.
