The 'spread' of light is so amazing that we use just five of these to light up our entire market stall at Kempton, something that would not be possible with a fine-beam torch.
I wouldn't use one of these for looking into the far distance, but I most certainly WOULD use one to light up an entire room during a power cut, or to light up a path whilst walking.
