Staking machine  Ref: stakes

The opinion in the watch class (without actually using one of these!) is that the stakes are REASONABLY well-made, they are certainly not rubbish, but at the same time they aren't thin enough (in diameter) for fine work and they MIGHT not be tough enough for repeated use....for watchmaking. HOWEVER, for 'general' work (including working with larger items such as clocks) these would be fine.
