Although, as a binocular expert myself, I knew 80% of the information already, I was greatly surprised to find that 20% was new to me. In that respect, I found this book absolutely fascinating. It is not, however, a book for the general antiques dealer who wants to identify and value binoculars - it is a book for all those who want to 'learn' about binoculars and how they relate to people.
