I know that if it's not 'digital' it's not in fashion, but spring balances have advantages: no batteries to go flat, difficult to overload, more compact, easier to weigh large items (hang a bag, re-set scale to zero, put the items in the bag), easier to weigh letters and parcels.

Please check the specification before ordering, some people get confused between grams and Kilograms. There are 31.1g in a Troy ounce (ozTroy).
