A genuine military binocular made for NATO forces, and complete with sighting graticules. I've chosen a 6X30 because that is the standard magnification for infantry troops. The M.O.D. can choose any size and magnification whey wish, they use 6 (magnification) X30 (30mm diameter lenses) because that gives the widest field of view and crispest image for troops on the move. 7" wide X 7" tall X 2½" deep. 840g

I must admit, as an optical dealer my 'expectations' are high!So DOES this one live up to expectations?Yes!

Made by Fujinon to military specification for the U.S. forces. 8½" across X 8½ tall. This is good as the large Zeiss, Leica etc which sell for over £1000.00 because of their light weight and latest designs...whereas this is just an old fashioned heavy binocular-shaped binocular. 2½X17½ MONOCULARThe smallest monocular ever, at 35mm long X 20mm dia, this Russian monocular really does fit in the palm of the hand!I keep one in the car to look at roadwork signs whilst stationary in a traffic jam. Others might use it to see the numbers on buses or horses, the writing on notice boards or scoreboards, the actors on stage...or just their children in the garden. It focuses down to 26" so you could read your neighbour's newspaper on the train, or even use it as a magnifying glass if you have long enough arms.

8X21 monocular with hand strap in strong nylon pouch with belt loop.Monocular measures 28mm diameter X 85mm long. Pouch measures 100mm X 50mm X 35mmWhat I like about this is - not only is it very lightweight (easy to drop into a bag or wear on your belt...and just forget about it) but also you can fold the rubber eyecap down which enables it to be used by spectacle-wearers. Now I know that most monoculars have this feature, but with most monoculars you can't actually get your eye close enough to the eyepiece to see anything. With this one the view ('field of view') is very nearly perfect. I've never seen that on an inexpensive item before.
