For removing the backs of watches that screw on (screw-back). Two sizes. These are small and portable, ideal for antiques dealers and anyone who travels around. But for the office / workshop, for watches with very stiff backs, a case holder and vice would be good (see optional extras below).

STANDARD

The most popular of our back openers because it's so small it fits neatly into a pocket or buying-bag, 2.5 inches X 1 inch. Minimum watch back size 15mm, maximum 55mm. The prongs are 'hooked' as shown in top picture. Also suitable for undoing the rims holding lenses into optical equiopment, but please note the prongs are only 5mm DEEP so check that the rim isn't inset and inaccessible.

JUMBO

Measures 3.25 inches X 1.5 inches. Minimum watch back size 23mm, maximum 70mm (that's large!). The prongs are 'round as shown in bottom picture. Also suitable for undoing the rims holding lenses into optical equiopment, but please note the prongs are only 10mm DEEP so check that the rim isn't inset and inaccessible.

Many a time, whilst working in a jeweller's shop I would have to change a watch strap. This involves removing then re-fitting the spring lugs.
