Ref: SAW
Saw for jewellers, watchmakers etc. For cutting metal (anything soft, gold, silver, platinum, brass, copper...but not steel). Lightweight, traditional design (easier to change the blades than the fancy designs). Takes standard piercing saw blades.

The picture shows them bundled in dozens. Standard size to fit piercing saw.

The safety bar slips between the ring and the customer's finger, then the blade cuts though ring to safety bar, finger safe!
Ref: bladercut2
Spare blade for the emergency ring cutter (for cutting rings off customer's fingers without cutting the finger off). It looks big in the picture, diameter is 20mm. Note, this is the spare blade only, for the complete cutter see CUTTERS, DRILLS...
Ref: DRILAR
3.5" long, rest the drill (which you insert into the chuck at the end, top left) on the object, steady it upright with your left index finger on the top (bottom right in picture), hold the little knurled rim between your right thumb and forefinger and jiggle it rapidly up and down. The result is that the end spins very fast, it's obvious when you do it!

Ordinary twist-drills do work with Archimedes drills, but there is a better type. The Archimedes drill twists backwards and forwards and SHOULD use a drill tip that cuts in both directions of the twist. You can make these yourself by grinding the ends of needles. Here is a sample pack of three, use a magnifier to see how they are cut, snap the ends off various-sized needles (do not cut them with a jewellers cutter, you will spoil the blade)...then you will know how to make your own.
Ref: DRILL
Set of 15 twist drills from 0.3mm to 1mm (fits Archimedes Drill).
Ref: DRILL-3
Set of 15 drills from 1.05mm to 2mm (fits Archimedes Drill).

Rough-grade (best for filing gold before testing), choice of six shapes.I have labelled each shape with a letter (A, B, C etc) - this is merely because diagrams of each shape are in our snail mail catalogue so it's easy to order if you have a catalogue in front of you.
Ref: dia-file
Diamond-impregnated files available individually, select the shape from the drop-down list. For pictures of shapes see previous item, set of six....though you probably don't need to see a picture to visualise "round", "triangular" etc.
Ref: BURNISHER
Burnisher, 180mm X 7mm X 3mm.
