PAYING BY BANK TRANSFER

Scroll down or click here to go to Bank Details

The advantages of paying by bank transfer are:

  • You don't have to give anyone your credit card number, you log into YOUR bank account at YOUR bank, the service is free, you don't even have to 'register'...assuming you already have access to your bank account online.
  • Unlike credit card we do not have to ship to the cardholder's address

  • most banks now offer Faster Payments - the money will be in our account within two hours, scroll down or click here for details
  • Once you have entered our bank details you can 'SAVE' them. Then, the next time you order, merely log into your bank account and click MAKE A PAYMENT > PAY QUICKTEST > [enter amount] > CONFIRM
  • We are keen to encourage these transfers and will send orders of over £150.00 (+ VAT) post-free, scroll down or click here for details.

Overseas Customers must pay in Pounds (GBP)* If your bank transfers your currency and our bank converts it to GBP there will be a charge, you must pay this charge and there will be a delay. * I use the international abbreviation "GBP" rather than the symbol "£" because the "£" sign does not display or print on many computers outside the U.K..

HOW TO MAKE THE TRANSFER

Log into your bank account online. Each bank will have a slightly different process, but it will be basically: select MAKE BANK TRANSFER, fill in our Sort Code, our Account Number and the amount, click CONFIRM.

HOW LONG DOES A BANK TRANSFER TAKE?

In May 2008 the banks introduced a new online payment system called FASTER PAYMENTS. Log into your bank account, make the payment, if your bank operates the scheme the money will arrive in our account in two hours*, if your bank does not operate the scheme, it will take three working days.

* you can make the payment at any time of the day or night, but the money will take two hours to arrive during banking hours.

Participating banks are HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Barclays, RGS Group, Alliance Leicester, Abbey, Citi, Northern Rock, Nationwide, HBOS Ltd, National Australia Group and Danske Bank.

It WILL take a couple of months for all of these banks to implement the scheme, click here and enter your bank's Sort Code to see if YOU can make Faster Payments. Even if you can't make a 'two hour' payment, you can still transfer the money, it will merely take a little longer.
